At ABB, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Electrification division, in the Data Center segment.
You will be the technical reference for ABB's low- and medium-voltage power distribution solutions for Data Centers. You will work with customers, consultants, EPCs, integrators, partners and sales teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. The goal is to get ABB technologies specified and adopted in this fast-growing market.
Responsibilities
Lead technical support for Data Center projects during the specification, bidding, design and execution phases.
Develop low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution solutions for critical power applications.
Prepare budgetary technical proposals, single-line diagrams, conceptual designs, solution architectures and engineering documentation.
Perform and review studies on power distribution, protection and coordination, energy measurement and monitoring, and reliability and redundancy.
Support customers, consultants, EPCs and partners with system design and technical evaluations. This includes promoting ABB's portfolio, such as medium- and low-voltage switchgear, protection relays, circuit breakers, energy management and Digital Power solutions.
Support the sales team with technical presentations, workshops, product demonstrations and customer meetings.
Work with ABB engineering teams in Brazil and abroad, including Europe, to develop customer-specific solutions.
Track trends, technologies, standards and competitors in the Data Center market, and represent ABB at industry events and conferences.

Experience with the low- and medium-voltage Electrification portfolio applied to Data Centers.
Experience in electrical power systems, critical facilities and Data Center infrastructure.
Experience in technical sales support, application engineering or systems engineering.
Solid knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution, protection systems and relays, power quality, reliability, single-line diagrams and electrical architecture.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, with a consultative, customer-focused approach and the ability to influence technical decisions.
Advanced English, to work with teams in Europe.
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
Active CREA registration.
Intermediate or advanced Spanish.
Knowledge of UPS, busway, energy management systems, SCADA and monitoring platforms.
Experience with short-circuit, protection coordination and selectivity studies, as well as IEC, IEEE, NBR and Data Center standards.
Experience in hyperscale, colocation, enterprise or cloud Data Center projects. Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, ATD or Uptime Institute.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as high-density computing, AI Data Centers, solid-state transformers, direct current and sustainability solutions.
What we offer
Hybrid work model, with 2 days on-site.
A role as the technical reference, influencing the decisions of customers, consultants and partners.
Continuous professional development, with access to new technologies for critical infrastructure.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
