Job Profile
For our Industry Field Customer Support team, we are looking for a Service Engineer – CNC, Drives, Robots & Safety Systems (Competition Platforms) for deployment at customer manufacturing sites operating in 24×7 production mode in the India-North region.
This is a client on-site, shift-wise rotational (24×7) operational role, primarily responsible for support, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of competition CNC systems, drive systems, industrial robots, and related safety control systems.
Exposure to retrofit, modernization, and migration projects is desirable, but such activities are occasional and project-based, and not part of routine shift operations.

ABB CNC
Rexroth CNC
Fanuc CNC
etc.
Perform diagnostics, tuning, and maintenance of drive systems from: SEW
ABB
Rexroth
Fuji Electric

Allen-Bradley
and similar OEMs.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support industrial robots including ABB, KUKA, and Fanuc, covering controller alarms, axis faults, and drive-robot interface issues.
Support Safety PLC-based systems by diagnosing: Safety faults
Safety I/O errors
Interlocks
Emergency stop (E-stop) circuits
Light curtains
Safety scanners
Safety relays
Coordinate CNC/Drive/Robot interaction with Safety PLCs, ensuring safe restart and recovery after faults.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities, including safety function checks as per site procedures.
Maintain machine logbooks, safety fault records, diagnostic reports, and system backups.
Provide basic technical guidance and safety-aware troubleshooting support to customer maintenance personnel.
Support retrofit, modernization, and controller migration activities during planned shutdowns or special projects.
Ensure strict adherence to functional safety practices, site safety rules, and EHS standards during all activities.
Qualification Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
3–8 years of hands-on experience in CNC, drives, robots, and maintenance of automated machinery.
Strong exposure to competition CNC platforms, including: Beckhoff
ABB
Rexroth
Fanuc
Hands-on experience with multi-OEM drive systems, including: SEW

Working knowledge of Safety PLC concepts and integration, including: Safety I/O modules
Emergency stop systems
Safety scanners

Door interlocks
Safe communication between CNC, drives, robots, and safety controllers
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, safety circuits, CNC parameters, and robot diagnostics.
Willingness to work 24×7 rotational shifts at customer sites.
Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and customer-interaction skills.
Knowledge of Siemens SINUMERIK, SINAMICS, or Safety PLC (F-systems) will be an added advantage.
Preferred (Good to Have)
OEM training/certification from ABB, KUKA, Beckhoff, or SEW.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
