Our customers operate across a wide range of sectors, including industry, commercial buildings and infrastructure. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer Medium Voltage who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes ownership and is eager to develop into a specialist.

Your role

As a Field Service Engineer Medium Voltage, you will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, modernizing and troubleshooting ABB medium-voltage installations and products. You will work at customer sites throughout the Netherlands and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of their electrical installations.

Don't have all the product knowledge yet? No problem. Through a comprehensive training program, we will develop you into a product specialist, enabling you to work independently and confidently in the field.

What will you be doing?

Performing maintenance on medium-voltage installations and ABB products.

Installing, expanding and modernizing medium-voltage installations.

Executing retrofit and replacement projects.

Troubleshooting and resolving faults and technical issues.

Advising customers on maintenance, optimization opportunities and technical solutions.

Working in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards.

You will mainly work at customer locations. Depending on project requirements and travel distance, occasional overnight stays may be required.

Your team

You will join a close-knit service organization of approximately 60 colleagues, including around 30 service engineers. Within the team, you will work alongside experienced specialists as well as colleagues who, like you, are continuing to develop their expertise.

From day one, you can count on a thorough onboarding program and guidance from experienced colleagues. Knowledge sharing is an important part of our culture. Together, you ensure that our customers can rely on safe, reliable and future-proof installations.

Your profile

You are motivated, technically minded, enjoy working independently and thrive in a role with a variety of tasks and customer locations.

In addition, you have:

A completed MBO-level degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical education.

STIPEL Certified Skilled Person certification and/or an IV/WV authorization is considered an advantage.

Experience in a similar role, or the ambition to grow into one.

Experience within the electrical industry and the desire to further develop your career in power engineering. Experience with medium-voltage installations is a plus, but we value your curiosity, willingness to learn and ambition to become a specialist even more.

Knowledge of installation, assembly and safety regulations.

Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours.

Good command of Dutch and a basic command of English.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

A valid driver's license (Category B).

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
