Develop controls modernization concepts and define hardware, software, interfaces, engineering, commissioning, and implementation requirements.
Coordinate with mechanical, software, execution, and external partners to deliver controls solutions for standalone or integrated projects.
Own the controls solution definition, equipment requirements, bill of materials, cost estimate, schedule, assumptions, and exclusions.
Provide a clear post-award handoff of the solution, key assumptions, and technical requirements to execution teams.
Share technical knowledge and guide colleagues on ASRS controls applications, estimating practices, and solution development.

Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, drives, safety controls, industrial communications, network architecture, and system interfaces, with experience using Rockwell, Siemens, or a comparable industrial controls platform.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PLC programs, and complex or less clearly defined controls issues and translate technical information into clear solution requirements.
Strong skills in customer discovery, verbal and written communication, and presentation, with the ability to define customer requirements, influence solution decisions, and clearly communicate technical alternatives, tradeoffs, and value.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related business tools used to develop technical documentation, cost estimates, and customer proposals.
Controls estimating experience is preferred, including labor, hardware, software, commissioning, travel, implementation resources, and project schedules.
Knowledge of vendor capabilities, contractor performance, labor markets, and pricing trends.
Direct experience with ASRS controls is strongly preferred, including SRMs, onboard and offboard control systems, brownfield modernization, controls migration, obsolescence planning, lifecycle upgrades, and phased implementation in operating facilities.
Experience integrating warehouse control systems (WCS), warehouse execution systems (WES), host systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to staying current with evolving controls technologies, ASRS applications, and material-handling industry practices.

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
